About You

You will hold a critical role in delivering the core company financial and people operations, working directly with our executive team to create and implement and execute processes, systems and documentation to scale Zipongo’s business. A successful candidate will bring technical financial and/or people operations expertise, demonstrated ability to take ownership over the improvement of our processes, and passion for effective delivery, making a difference, and getting things right. We are seeking a hands-on, roll up your sleeves type of executor who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Execution of core financial operations including:

  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable / invoicing / collections
  • Cash management and tracking
  • State and federal business licensing, taxation, and regulatory filings
  • Credit reporting
  • Administrative vendor management (e.g., office)
  • Insurance vendor management (e.g., D&O, liability)
  • Office management
  • Travel and expense management, administration, and approvals (e.g., Concur)
  • Contract administration and tracking
  • Monitoring and verification of credit card and bank charges

 

Execution of core people operations including:

  • Recruiting and candidate experience
  • Employee onboarding / offboarding
  • Formal employee feedback sessions (e.g., 30 day, 90 day, exit)
  • Employee Benefits administration (e.g., health, dental, vision, 401k, LTD/STD)
  • Employee food program administration
  • Stock option administration
  • Payroll
  • Employee performance management and compensation
  • Employee culture initiatives
  • Contractor administration and management

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a hands on people and or finance administration role
  • Direct previous experience and successful track record executing the majority of the Responsibilities listed
  • Start-up experience
  • Strong detail orientation and passion for getting things right
  • Strong management and interpersonal skills; ability to cultivate a fun, rewarding, agile and results-driven culture
  • Ability to understand business needs, think strategically, and incorporate multiple perspectives and complex considerations into clear, well-communicated decisions
  • Ability to operate in an entrepreneurial environment, to thrive at an extremely fast pace and to find creative ways to get things done
  • Demonstrated passion for what we do
